All aboard the tramway!
As you probably already know, the new tramway line, number 2, now runs from the harbour to the airport. So, for only 1,50 euros you can quickly and easily get from the centre of Nice to terminal 1, or the other way around.
After more than a decade of continuous road works, we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel (yes, the tramway is partially underground) and realize that it has been a sensible investment, both in terms of sustainability and from an economic point of view. Areas such as Caucade, Carras, Riquier, Pasteur and la Liberation have seen a significant upswing, now that the city centre is only five to ten minutes away. Not to forget all the aesthetic enhancements around the tracks, such as newly planted palm trees, flower beds and green spaces. Line number 1 will be equipped with WIFI (already on lines 2 and 3) during the year.
Line number 3 already goes all the way to the Allianz Riviera and the gigantic hole in the ground that will someday house IKEA. We are really excited at the thought of being able to go there every weekend and have Swedish meatballs with lingonberry jam.
